Testimonials

“Katie edited my first book, College (Un)bound, and was a fantastic editor for a first-time author like me. As an editor, she kept the reader in mind, asked tons of good questions, but yet allowed my voice and ideas to come through in the final manuscript. When the time came to write my next book, I hired Katie as a freelance editor to assist me through several drafts of the manuscript. She helped me frame chapters and passages in a way that would be helpful to readers without losing the narrative thread. Through the writing and editing process of both books, she was also a good listener, helping me as a writer remain confident and disciplined.”

— Jeffrey Selingo, author of New York Times best-selling author of Who Gets In and Why, There Is Life After College, and College (Un)bound

“Katie was a pleasure to work with throughout the three years it took me to write my book, The Lost Tribe of Coney Island. She’s enthusiastic and unflappable, intuitive and insightful with an instinct for how to tell a great story. I’d recommend her to anyone.”

— Claire Prentice, author of Curse of Riches and The Lost Tribe of Coney Island

“Katie’s editorial talents and commitment shine through on every page of Chasing the Modern. Her meticulous eye has aided me greatly in proofreading numerous versions of the book, and I am grateful for her inspired work on materials for the chronology, glossary, and photo rights. I couldn’t have completed this project without her help and guidance.”

— Tony Hsu, author of Chasing the Modern: The Twentieth-Century Life of Poet Xu Zhimo
